INSTRUCTION





Project 3

Overview:
In this project, students will be required to create FIVE (5) merchandise items, including a POP Display based on Project 2. The project aims to develop students' skills in creating and designing merchandise that reflects the brand and the packaging design.

Tasks:Research and analysis: You are required to conduct research and analyze the brand and packaging design. This will help you understand the brand's values, target audience, and the packaging design's visual elements and aesthetics. You must develop five merchandise concepts that reflect the brand and packaging design. These concepts should be original and aligned with the brand's message and target audience.

Progress

In Week 11, our group discussed the type of merchandise we would produce for this project. During the session, Mr. Shamsul recommended that we first determine a theme for the merchandise, as it would guide us in selecting suitable items and help us stay more focused in the decision-making process.

After further discussion, our group agreed on a travel theme. Based on this theme, we identified five merchandise items to create and also planned our promotional strategies.

Merchandise Items:

  • Bottle carrier (Aisya)

  • Silicone bottle sleeve(Jovan)

  • Foldable shopping bag(Jovan)

  • Mini planner & travel journal(Lizzie)

  • Mini cleaning kit for bottles (including a small brush, zipper pouch, and fiber cloth),          (Sheryne)

Promotional Strategies:

  • Street billboard (Malaysia)

  • LRT station advertisements (signage/billboard)

  • Instagram advertisements

  • Travel app advertisements

  • Cardboard display rack


Silicone bottle sleeve

so first because we dont have a real prototype because business student didnt provide it, After we asked Mr. Shamsul how should we do because of no prototype and business student seems didnt care about their project Mr. Shamsul said look for any tumbler that can we use as the prototype so my team choose this tumbler 

after we chose the tumbler i continue design the silicone case and this is what its look like and where we put the silicone case 

but after we have Mr. Shamsul class we got feedback try to use real mock up since we didnt have to get a real mock up go crazy about it so i find a silicone case that i can edit 





and here are the final mock up of silicone case and how to apply it


Foldable shopping bag

after designing silicone case i continue to design shopping bag i look for the mock up that suit with my team theme traveling so i choose the mock up that have a small pouch bag that can carry easily 



but after i getting feedback from my team they said the quality og the product is poor like pixels

I want to say thank you to my team because of the details so i look for the other mock up for editing 



finally i found the mock up that has good quality and has the small pouch bag after i choose it i edit it in photoshop

and this is all my team merchandise design





Promotional Advertisement

this is my first design of making billboard






in this design i use features icon to fill the empty spot and for the hydration tracker is made by Sheryne, But after getting feedback we should use same elements with the other advertisement that my team made 
this is the elements that Aisya made

FINAL SUBMISSION


Week 11
Focused on developing five merchandise items and organizing them under a unifying theme to ensure consistency in both design and functionality.

Week 12
Mockups should be presented according to their intended use, with designs made more realistic. Promotional and advertisement placements should align with the merchandise theme and be situated in Kuala Lumpur, or reflect a similar Malaysian context.

Week 13
Searched for a bottle design that closely resembles the DYO product and improved the mockup quality by using higher-resolution images.

Week 14
The merchandise and mockups were well-developed. However, the promotional advertisements still lacked consistency. Improvements could be made by applying the same design elements across all advertisements to create a cohesive look.
