REFLECTION
experience:
I felt like taking Advanced Typography was a deeper dive into what I had learned in Semester 1. It was definitely tougher, especially since the workload for each assignment was much heavier. The critiques were straightforward, and I ended up losing count of all the deadlines. That was probably one of the biggest challenges I faced this semester in Advanced Typography.
observation
Continuous trial and error is essential during the entire design process, whether you're creating a font, poster, or anything else. I've also found that observing how others work has helped me uncover new problem-solving approaches and solutions. The basics stay the same, and each new typographic design is based on the same foundation, though with distinct adjustments each time.
findings
Combining fonts effectively can create visual interest and hierarchy. High contrast between text and background improves readability, especially for users with visual impairments. Good contrast is crucial for accessibility and overall user experience.
