visual analysis

  •  Is a method of understanding design that focuses on the visual elements and principles.
  • In its strictest definition - a description and explanation of visual structure for its own sake.
  •  as well as to better understand how the formal properties of a design communicate ideas, content, or meaning.

there are 3 phase which is
1.Observation
2.Analysis
3.Interpretation

Task 2

we asked to visual analysis artwork that we have chosen in the previous task
we required to write 300

visual analysis

Phase 1 (observation)

This poster was made with a portrait. There is a plastic bag at the top left and there is also a plastic rope that seems to be coming out of the plastic bag, these rubbish is in under sea with light entering the sea then the paper that said "dont let me go" scattered around the plastic bag the sea and There is also the UNSDG logo number 14 about life in the ocean and there are also several sentences that also explain why the poster was made, about the amount of plastic that can be collected from the open sea. We can also see that there are air bubbles from inside the poster (114words)

Phase 2 (analysis)

This artwork is asymmetrically. The plastic bag and rope shaped(similarity) like jellyfish as emphasis, there were repetition on plastic rope ,the plastic bag seems to swimming to the top of sea (movement)The poster has a gradient that symbolizes light entering the ocean which mean the contrast from low to high, The inclusion of the sentence about UNSDG goals at the left bottom brings a layer of meaning and connects the visual elements to a larger context. This integration of word and image adds depth to the viewer's interpretation. The irregularly moving wave at the top introduces an element of unpredictability and natural chaos              (103 words)
